Bri Marino is the author of Somewhere Only We Know. She was born in Chicago, though she moved back and forth between Illinois and Ohio while growing up. Bri ended up in Dayton, Ohio, where she attended Wright State University and obtained a B.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and minor in Women’s Studies. While at Wright State, she worked as a tutor in their writing center, was an editor for their literary journal called ‘The Fogdog Review,’ won their 2014 creative writing contest, and placed in their 2015 contest.
Bri lives with her husband, Jacob, and their dog, Molly. Bri loves to write young adult and science fiction. She is inspired by so many young adult writers, but Kiera Cass, Neal Shusterman, Laurie Halse Anderson, and Kathryn Holmes are probably her favorites.
She hopes Somewhere Only We Know will be a source of inspiration for the millions of young girls that are sexually, physically, and emotionally abused.
