Kelsey Knight

Kelsey Knight, author of, “The Formation of Glass,” unveils the process of human perspective through the landscape of observation and condition throughout a lifetime. Kelsey is an experienced chaser. She is motivated in her search for moments to accumulate and create a meaningful life. Her main focus and interests are in poetry, art, music and photography.

Kelsey has kelseybeen a featured poet in a variety of settings. In 2014, she was invited to read in the monthly Words and Music show, held in Montreal at Casa del Popolo. In November 2014, Kelsey was invited to read her poem, A Statue of Sacrifice, in the 13th Annual veteran’s appreciation luncheon. During April 2015, National Poetry Month, Kelsey and 26 other poets traveled by train on The Great Canadian Poetrain Tour, stopping in Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Vancouver. This tour led to the publication of Poetrain Anthology, a collection of train poems by Canadian poets.

She has taken a variety of literary classes and workshops from Mohawk College, Brock University, and Simon Frasier University. Kelsey is currently involved in a new project, Poetic Melodies, which is a collaborative effort between herself and local pianist Ian Green. It blends the transcending effect of music and the spoken word. She currently lives in Hamilton, Ontario.
